BUTT Berkeley Underwater Tube Testing. One for each PMT > disc. =============================================================== Contact: N. West, Oxford. Revision History:- ================ 3.01 N. McCauley First version. Description ----------- These banks contain the information from those BUTT PMT's that exceeded the discriminator threshold in a particular trigger. The format is identical to the PMT bank so will not be duplicated here. Note that there are NO corresponding Px and PIx banks for this data as the plan is to phase out those banks. BUTTs, refers to the Berkeley Underwater Tube Testing stand, which is a "sled" of 23 PMTs that have been cabled and installed in the outer portion of the detector (it can be raised and lowered). I'm sure you've seen emails from Poon and others on this subject. Some of these PMTs are connected to the electronics.
