The following documents, which are not part of the HTML web, give
further information related to SNOMAN:-
Gives an introduction to a set of tape handling procedures:-
- tape_extract a system for getting a selected run off tape.
- FLP - First Look Processing a syetm for processing every file on
tape.
- Getting files "by hand" how to use the tape database and how to use
a DLT drive.
Gives a list of the currently identified SNOMAN jobs and indicates which are
deemed to be high priority.
Gives an outline of the directory structure used by SNOMAN.
Are further documents covering such subjects as tape I/O performance and machine
independent I/O. See readme.doc on the directory for a complete list.
Oxford SNO report repository
This is held in the directory:-
/userdisk2/snoguest/snoman/reports
of the distribution machine at Oxford. This is the Oxford/SNO report archive.
Its purpose is to maintain electronic copies of reports relevant to SNOMAN, but
not sufficiently relevant or changeable to warrant being released with every
version of the code. A (hopefully) complete list of documents in this repository
can be found in the file full_list.txt. Consult the README.FIRST file in that
directory for more information.
SNODB
The SNO Database, SNODB, is not part of SNOMAN, but a link to its on-line
documentation should be found:-
If not then
installation procedure, in regards to the
Link to SNODB
has not been carried out.
On-Site Manuals
For people working on-site, with poor network access to CERN, a partial copy
of the on-line CERNlib documenation is available here
Its not perfect but you can find the really interesting manuals such as:-
There are also a few hardcopy manuals:-
Please return them if you borrow them.
