The pruner processor removes unwanted banks from the data structure before the
event is written out.
The pruner currently in SNOMAN is very basic. Under
control of the titles bank TPRU 1, it is possible to drop any or all of the
following banks:-
- MC (dropping this drops all other MCxx banks).
- MCPM
- MCVX (dropping these drops any supported i.e. outgoing, MCTK). It is
possible to selectively drop on the basis of vertex class i.e. pre_source,
source, boundary, interaction and sink.
- PIx (these are the raw PMT output banks i.e. before calibration)
- ZDAB (packed versions of the PIx banks)
- Px (excluding PF - other Px banks can be derived from the PIx)
- PF
- PMT
- CL
- FT
- DSML
For example, to drop all boundary MCVX banks, first switch on the pruner in the
JOBP bank and then add the following SNOMAN command:-
$prune_mcvx_boundary $drop
