Using RSP

The RSP processor is controlled by the TRSP bank. RSP relies on output from a vertex fitter to apply the energy calibration. This fitter should be selected in the TRSP bank. RSP requires the following titles banks:

TRSP -- energy_control.dat control of RSP
RESP -- energy_calibration.dat energy calibration constants
RSPM -- rsp_pmt_map.dat pmt map in theta, phi bans
RSPN -- rsp_nonline.dat online tubes for a given run
RSP also uses the grey disk PMT response and media optical properties in the banks
PMTR -- pmt_response.dat pmt angular and frequency response
MEDA -- media.dat media optical properties

By default, the input fitter is specified in the

TRSP Bank
but if using a Programmable Event Loop (see chapter 9), if RSP is called with a non-empty arg list then it is used to select the the required fitter input. For example:-

   call rsp(5)
or
   call rsp($KFT_FTT)

will set the input to come from the Time Fitter (FTT).

The following section describes the generatation of energy calibration constants for a specific vertex fitter.
