Neutral Current Detector Cables

The NCCs consist of just one region:-

• Region array IDRG_NCC, two segments of torus connected to a cylinder. The first torus segment emerges vertically from the top of an NCD_OVL and curves round until it is tangential with the acrylic vessel and close to it. At this point the second torus segment takes over and follows the inner surface of the vessel until the bottom of the chimney is reached. Then a cylinder continues vertically up the length of the chimney. All three primitives lie in a vertical plane within the detector.

User Control

The Neutral Current Detector Cables are disabled in the standard code, but can be switched on by setting the enable flag (word 1) of GEDS 120 to 1. The cables may be switched on or off independently of any region of the Neutral Current Detectors.
