Deployment geometry (August 2000)

The geometry is simply described as two acrylic cylinders. The first is hollow and mounts to the manipulator. The second is solid mounts to the acrylic source. Aside from mounting the source, these sections also serve to move the source away from the manipulator, minimizing the neutron captures occurring on that material. These two sections are joined together in a complicated arrangement that is not modelled.

The actual geometry is more complicated, and has been modelled using four detector regions. These regions are desribed below:

The source is only valid in the D2O. It is compatible with the use of the umbilical and manipulator geometry. Questions or suggestions should be directed to Mike Dragowsky.
