Switching on the Event Display

SNOMAN comes complete with two event displays:-

• The XSnoed Event Display. This is the default event display as of SNOMAN 4.0. Essentially this is the XSNOED stand alone display built into SNOMAN. It is strongly recommended that you use this display if possible. See 4

• A now obsolete display provided by Yuen-dat originally in SNOMAN 2.06. This display is based on the HIGZ graphics package of CERNLIB. See section 5 for instructions on how to use the display.

Using the standard installation procedure will disconnect the old event display. The only reason to go back to it is if XSNOED is not supported for your platform - currently this is only true for NT. In this case you will need to install SNOMAN with the EXTRACT switch:-

NO_XSNOMAN

See section 3.1 This disconnects the new display and reconnects the old one.
