Specifying Neutrino Interactions in the MCPI Bank

As explained in the Monte Carlo / Event Generation / Neutrino Physics section of the User Manual currently there is no generator to completely simulate a neutrino interaction, but there are a number of neutrino generators that generate the individual attributes: energy, direction and time. These attributes can be used in conjunction with the "Start a Particle" interaction.

However, there are restrictions on what is supported:-

The first particle in the MCPI may have neutrino attributes.
Subsequent particles may only have neutrino attributes if they come from the same vertex (i.e. have the same position and time) as the first particle.
The neutrino flavour must be consistent throughout.
Here is a complete list of the supported interactions:-
- nu_e + deuteron -> e_minus [+ proton + proton]
- nu_x + e_minus -> e_minus [+ nu_x]
- nu_x + deuteron -> neutron [+ nu_x + proton]
- nu_e_bar + deuteron -> e_plus + neutron + neutron
- nu_e_bar + proton -> neutron + e_plus
Notes:-
- nu_x means any flavour neutrino.
- Particles inside [...] are not generated.
- The order of the interaction products is important; the entries in the MCPI must follow the order shown. Trailing particles need not be generated e.g. in nu_e_bar + proton only the neutron entry has to be present in the MCPI.
