SNOMAN contains analysis tools that allow you to do significant analysis without
writing a line of code -- see the chapter "Adding Code to SNOMAN" when you want
to do that. These tools are based on the n-tuple so permit analysis to be
continued into PAW. There are two tools:-
- ANL - The Event Analyser
- This tool allows you to define your
own n-tuples. These ntuples can contain data from the following
structures:-
- The current event data structure.
- The persistent data structure e.g. the run header.
- Title (i.e. Database) banks.
You can create as many as you want simultaneously and can include simple cuts to
select the events you wish to study.
- TCA - Time Correlation Analyser
- This tool allows you to look for time correlated events in a time-ordered
n-tuple file (possibly created by ANL). Each time a correlation is found an
entry is written to a new n-tuple. You present TCA with a request in a way
that is essentially the same as for ANL. This request defines the cuts that
determine what constitutes a correlation and also what to write to the output
n-tuple when one is found.
There are chapters devoted to both of these tools.
