Introduction

MXF is a package, built in the SNOMAN structure that can be used to perform Maximum Likelihood signal extraction on data provided in an ntuple. Note - to avoid confusion in this documentation I will follow the following conventions:

Fitting Parameter

- Parameters PDFs are created in. eg. E, R$^3$, cos($\theta_{sun}$).

Signal/Distribution

- What we are fitting for - the number of a given type of event, CC, NC, ES, Backgrounds.

Input Parameter

- These are used to define analytic PDFs.
