The output of MPC is two titles files. The first pass on data produces a
titles file (mpc_pca_summary.dat
) which contains a summary of
the regular PCA run preceding the MPCA runs. This titles file must be
loaded explicitly during the second pass of MPC. The second pass of
MPC on data produces the first bank of the titles file
(mpca_data.dat
) containing the actual timing correction used by
CAL for data. Running MPC on Monte Carlo produces the second bank of
(mpca_data.dat
). The two banks must be glued together by hand.
The contents of these two titles files can be found in the companion
under titles banks PCAS and MPCA. A new MC charge distribution was made available in SNOMAN 5_0081, so a new multiphoton time correction was required. In order to make the code backwards compatible the old MC titles bank was kept as MPCA bank 2, and the new Monte Carlo correction is stored in bank 3. Bank 2 will no longer be supported.
