Introduction

SNOMAN has the capability to run multiple fitters independently of each other. Currently the following 8 fitters are defined:-

FT1,FT2,FT3   Dummy fitters for user code


FTE 		 An elastic fitter


FTG 		 A grid fitter


FTI 		 A muon fitter


FTK 		 An energy fitter


FTM 		 A muon fitter


FTP 		 A path fitter


FTQ 		 A quad fitter


FTR 		 A track fitter


FTT 		 A time fitter

FT1 actually contains a fitter, but it is complete nonsense; its only function is to explain how to interface a fitter into SNOMAN. FT2 and FT3 are pure dummies. FT1, and the real fitters, all follow the same overall form so it is worthwhile describing a generic fitter FTx, before discussing the individual fitting methods.

IMPORTANT: All fitters ignore any PMT bank that has the KPF_DIS bit set in the PF word.
