Photons Created in the PMT Concentrator Bucket

It is possible to create photons in the clear disk model, either by the passage of a charged particle or by placing seed photons within a PMT. This can happen regardless of the level of PMT simulation. As explained above, photon tracking within the clear disk model is not recorded in the data structure, instead any photon created within a PMT will have the following:-

  1. A zero length track to a vertex with interaction process code ``Photon created within PMT".

  2. If the photon escapes, a track indirectly connecting to second vertex at the exit point, in the same way as for photons incident on the clear disk model.
