SIO - Generic FZ Input Output

This layer provides:-

• The interface to FZ and the C I/O ensuring efficient, machine indendent I/O.

• A complete set of routines to open, read, write and close an arbitrary number of files.

• Complete control over each I/O including skipping and partial reading and processing of start and end of run records.

So, in summary, SIO relieves the user of the burden of ensuring collaboration standard I/O while allowing full freedom over what I/O is done.
